Acetylene is: C2H2.

How many moles of atoms are in one molecule of acetylene?

How many molecules in 5.3 moles of acetylene?

How many atoms in a mole of acetylene?

I am just learning stoichiometry and I tried converting C2H2 to grams but I am lost.

  1. HC≡CH is acetylene. It contains 2 moles of carbon atoms and 2 moles of hydrogen atoms (1 mole of hydrogen molecules)

6.022 x 10^23 is the number of atoms in a mole of atoms. It's also the number of molecules in a mole of molecules, so 5.3 moles of acetylene would contain 3.192 x 10^24 molecules of the gas.

Acetylene is made up out of 4 atoms, so 1 mole of acetylene contains 2.409 x 10^24 atoms
