I was pregnant a couple of months ago and i had very very bad toothache...i heard its because the baby takes the calcium and many other reasons. [i lost that baby though :( ]

Now i'm 6 dpo and i have the EXACT same pain in my teeth and gums. i'm just wondering...could it really come so early already? last time i had it in my second month...and if i am pregnant (i dont know if i am) then its pretty early i would say...could it still be possable? or is there just something wrong with my teeth? i dont want to go to the dentist because i dont want to get any x-rays...what if i am pregnant.

Also i have one more pregnancy symptom (if it is a symptom) i have white creamy thick cm....a LOT of it.

  1. statistics show that too many women don't take care of their teeth prior to becoming pregnant and your teeth shift each time you get pregnant. your gums soften and you forget to take care of your teeth.

you can go get the thick cream checked out and fixed but you only have one set of teeth. so if i were you, i would go to the dentist as soon as possible!

after you get you cootie cleaned...good luck.

  2. when they give you x-rays (well at lest at my dentist) they put a thing over your stomach so it wouldn't hurt the baby.... i have no clue if it has anything 2do with it... maybe your body still thinks you pregnant????

or you could be..... just go get a test if you concerned about that part....

  3. Go to the dentist. They can check your teeth without an x-ray. Just let them know you might be pregnant. It is very important to look after your teeth by daily flossing when pregnant. Gum inflammations can cause premature birth. Increase the amount of vitamin C to also help with gum health when pregnant. Best wishes, G

  4. if you need to go to the dentist and think you might be pregnant, just let them know. they won't do any x-rays, but can still check for cavities or anything that might be irritating your gums and teeth.

    good luck!

  5. There is still something wrong with your teeth.  You very likely have an infection... that infection runs through your bloodstream.  The same bloodstream that passes into you brain and into the placenta.  The risks of not having the problem taken care of may put your baby at risk.

Dental x-rays are prescribed when disease detection outweighs the risk of x-ray exposure.  The exposure to a dental x-ray is very minimal and precausions are used, such as a lead apron across your entire torso.  The amount of exposure to a dental x-ray is equivalent to 4 hours in an airplane.

  6. Go get a blood test to see if you are  pregnant if not then go to the dentist you may have a cavity under the gumline

  7. only well to tell is to take a test hun good luck though. I also lost a baby.

  8. First of all, sorry to hear about your loss. Make an appt with your ob/gyn as soon as possible. And regarding your toothache. I have been there. Whether your pregnant or not, it would still be safe to go to the dentist. You just have to let them know that you have the probability of being pregnant and they will take the necessary precautions. For now, you can run to your local pharmacy and pick up some orajel or the next thing to helping numb your pain. The orajel is safe to take if you think your pregnant. Your doc will tell you about your other concern..sounds like the after affects of your previous pregnancy. Good luck to you!

  9. I would say follow all the other advise about seeing a dentist just let them know that you might be pregnant, also I had VERY sensitive teeth while I was pregnant and I found this tooth desensitizer  made by oragel it really worked, also using regular oragel worked good too. I hope this helps and good luck!

  10. Sorry to hear about the loss of your baby.

Please go to the dentist, if you're having that much pain.  Let the dentist know that you could still be pregnant, they will cover you with a lead vest, to protect you from the x-ray.  Sounds like you have an impacted tooth, along with an infection.  If you are pregnant again, it's better to get a bad toothache taken care of, because when you suffer the baby suffers.  I had an impacted wisdom tooth, it hurt like h**l, I had to have it taken out, and I was 12 weeks pregnant, everything went fine.  I really don't know if you're pregnant again, take a test, or see the doctor.  Hope you feel better soon.

  11. I had ongoing tooth pain that came and went before I got pregnant with my daughter....during my pregnancy my pain got worse! I was miserable!

I ended up having a root canal at 7 months pregnant....they only took one x-ray and they put double lead vest on me.

You probably already had something wrong with your tooth...if the pain is bearable I say wait until you can take a pregnancy test before you go to the dentist, that way if you ARE pregnant you're dentist can be sure to take extra precautions.
