When I was young, I used to dream nightly that I was trapped in my bedroom with our family home burning down & that I couldn't get out. I dreamt this nightly for years and all of a sudden dreams stopped and I have not been able to remember my dreams since. I know that I do have them but cannot for the life of me remember what it was about. Does anyone know why?

  1. No dreams do not get stored in long term memory there lost forever.

  2. I read somewhere that you're only remember the dreams you wake up from, however, I have dreamt without waking up and remembered them. My cousin woke up once to test her blood (she's diabetic) and go to the bathroom at our sleepover and in the morning she couldn't for the life of her remember doing so. Maybe I wake up enough to remember the dream but not enough to remember waking up.

  3. write them down right when you wake up.

  4. When you are deep asleep, then you won't have any dreams. Dreams are a sign of being slightly close to being awake.  Some scientists have said that dreams might only last for a few minutes, but may seem like hours.
