I have been dealing with a pain in my right foot for a lil while now. Its right around the joint area of my big toe and wraps all around. If I sit keeping pressure off it the pain goes away. when i walk on it the pain comes right back. its a sharp stabbing, burning pain. I cant tell if its bruised cause in different lights it looks different. I took the dog out quick and the pain nearly had me crying. If I walk on the right side of my foot and not flat i can avoid the pain. It feels as I walk and put pressure and weight on it the pain gets worse. I dont know if its the muscle, or the joint, or if I have a stress fracture. Should I just wait till tomorrow and see how it feels or should I go to the hospital tonight. I am 27 weeks pregnant so I dont think there is anything they can do for me seeing how I dont think I can have an xray done. I know this is not a doctors office but I am asking in case that someone might know or have an idea about it.

  1. i would not go to the ER. Call your regular doctor, not your OB and schedule an appt.

  2. Hi! I wouldn't go to the ER.. I had this with my first pregnancy, but my case is probably different than yours.. not only my toes and feet but it was my knees and my back.  Not sure if you share this.. but I'm double jointed so when Relaxin is released (to help your joints in your hips separate to allow for the baby to pass) it actually affects ALL my joints which is very very painful.. i actually had to walk with a cane it was so bad.. but.. a massage therapist helped me tremendously and I felt normal again.. for a few weeks.  That's my suggestion.. see a massage therapist.

Besides, your feet deserve some pampering and massaging!  your pregnant and they're taking a lot!
