Please help I have a brother question?

my brother just got dumped by his gf and I really liked her and she really hated braking up with him. But she was in college and hes a senior and she couldn't handle being so far away from him. they were in love and it has really hurt him. she has asked me to call his best friend but I don't know if my brother will be happy with that. what should I do to help

your brother will handle this , it isnt a drama this will happen to anybody several times in their lifes,

I think that doing anything behind your brother's back is a really bad idea.  I would ask him if there's anything you can do to help.  Ask him if he would like you to call his best friend for him.  When some one we love is hurting we want to fix it but some times it's just not with in our ability to fix it.  We want to make it all better but can't.  I'd say that the best thing you can do is just be there for him.  Don't pressure him but just be ready to listen.  Try not to give him advise, he needs to work things out for himself.  We hate to see loved ones suffer so we want to fix it right away.  But there's just some things that don't have a quick fix.  Give him time and space and listen to him when and if he needs to talk or rant or blow off steam.
