crazy. For probably a year now I've had an itchy neckline. Somedays it doesn't itch but somedays it is terrible. It is at the back of my head below the hairline and is dry. I have no allergies and have changed everything to try and sort this out - from washing powder, soap, perfume etc. What can cause this and what can I use to help the itching.

  1. Do you have a necklace that you wear often?  I had a similar problem from wearing a yellow gold necklace when I was a teenager.  I found out that I can only wear white gold, or silver.  Go see a dermatologist, or your family doctor.  They will prescribe an anti-inflammatory gel/cream to apply to the area when it becomes irritated.  In the meantime avoid perfumes/dyes.  Try washing your clothing in detergents that are dermatologist approved as 'free & clear" of dyes/perfumes.  If it becomes itchy, apply a light amount of baby powder to the area.  Good luck!
