  1. I got pregnant the next month and all was fine. My dr did suggest waiting 2 full cycles.

  2. You can get pregnant right after, but it's not good.  Your uterine lining hasn't thickened enough to sustain another pregnancy that soon, so you could miscarry again.  That is what my OB told me when I had my miscarriage.  You are supposed to wait 3 months afterwards to start trying again.  Sorry for your loss and good luck to you!

  3. Nope, that's not true at all. In fact you are just as likely because a D & C will allow your HCG level to drop significantly faster than if you were to have a natural miscarriage. You will typically get a period 4-6 weeks after a D& C which means ovulation would occur generally between 2-4 weeks after the procedure. Good luck - I also miscarried, had a D & C (4 weeks since the surgery) and have reason to believe I may be pregnant again.

Edit - Also - there is no conclusive evidence that getting pregnant immediately after a miscarriage will result in another one. As another poster said, typically a woman's uterus is not harmed during the procedure so sustaining another pregnancy should not be an issue. After my D & C (5 days after) my uterine lining was back to normal thickness. (had an ultrasound to make sure they got it all). Doctor's will tell you to wait only because they want ot be able to date the pregnancy properly and they feel 3 months is the amount of time it takes to become emotionally ready to TTC again. But trying right away after a D & C is perfectly safe.

  4. It is not true.

You can get pregnant after a D&C. Basically, a D&C is to clean out tissue that must be removed and wouldn't be expelled naturally by your body, or with a lot of pain. Typically, D&C's do not harm the uterus and do not lower your chances of conceiving.

  5. Its not true!  I haven't had that unfortunate experience, and hopefully never will, but my sister-in-law did and got pregnant 2 months later!  Good Luck to you and God Bless!!

  6. Not true.  If you are ovulating, you can get pregnant.

  7. My sis and a very close friend of mine both had miscarriages, and they got pregnant within a couple of months and went on to have beautiful healthy children. I have heard the elderly women in my family say that it is possible to get pregnant soon after, and my sis and friend proved this. Sorry for your loss, but hopefully, things should be ok very soon. Take care of your health and good luck!
