Please help! I need advice before i take the plunge and buy a VW beetle?

I own a camry. I've ALWAYS wanted to drive a VW new beetle. I did not have any plans to buy another car, but this week, I found that there are too many repairs that the camry needs, and so i have decided to sell it. Which means that I am free to buy my new beetle if i like. However, we have also decided to try and start a family. So, my dilema is this - do I buy a sensible 4-door family car in anticipation of a new baby a year or so down the road, or do I buy the Beetle I've desperately wanted for the past 6 years, and hope to find a car seat that will fit? My husband has a bigger 4 door car, but I plan to install the car seat in my car. I checked out some websites about car seats compatible with the Beetle, but it all reads like Greek and Latin to me. Even if a car seat fits, how do i put the baby in and take her out? I know the comfort of my future baby is the most important thing - but, is there some magical way by which I can have my beetle and eat it too?

fix the Camry as the Beetle is the most unsafe, unreliable, fastest in losing resale car out.  If you care about safety of child then do not get as all magazines like consumer reports, motor trend ect say it is junk.

Oh man, don't go with the bug if you want to start a family.  Their are other VW's that are just as exciting, if not better cars, that will suit a family fine.  The bug is one of the most impractical "family" cars out there, you might as well get a 'Vette or a mini-cooper.  Put your family first instead of trying to make them suffer through a clown car :(

My advice is that when you're ready to put the family needs ahead of your wants and wishes, then you are ready to become a Mom. Get a good practical car for your family.

but the new VW beetle is cute but other than that it's a terribly unreliable mechanical disaster.

the car is rated well below average & is on the list of used cars to AVOID.

with you future in mind look at

Honda Fit, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla.

Honda Accord 4-cyl, Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan

if you can afford to spend $30K wait for the 2009 VW Jetta TDI it will be a cleaner burning 50 mpg amazing car.

VWs are constantly breaking down and the parts are hard to order.

It also has no pickup.

Couldn't tell you about a car seat.
