I am comparing everything to parts of a school because that is the assignment. I need ones for: ribosomes, vacuoles, cell membrane, cytoplasm, golgi bodies, centrioles, vesicles, ER, lysosomes, mitochrondia, microtubule, and chloroplasts.

  1. I always hated that assignment... obviously there are the easy ones like cell membrane = gated fence, vesicle = trucks (transport), lysosome = garbage disposal...I don't know about the rest though. Good luck!

  2. Okay so think about function!

Mitochondria: The lunch room, provides students with all the energy they need, then they go off and do they classes.

Ribosomes: The Classroom, where students process all the information to create something. This could also be exams?

Vacuoles: The store rooms and cupboards, where all resources are kept, also could be a library

Cell Membrane: The gates of the school

Cytoplasm, the corridors, where students and inforamtion passes and the teachers let the students into the classroom (maybe nucleus)

Golgi Bodies: The cafetieria or kitchen, where they make and package food?

Centrioles: The principle or headmaster or even teacher, they are responciple for the position for the students, where they sit/the chromosones in mitosis.

Lysosomes: The garbage trucks or the bins in the school, taking all used rubbish and recylcing in.

Vesicles: the transport the students get in and out of school, they may have cars busses or whatever but they still do the same things

ER: RER: where the ribosomes are/ the classrooms are.  so it could be particular blocks in the school, where many classrooms are.

SER: Synthesiss of lipids and steroids amongother things, could be the computer rooms, students make documents and things and prints them?

    Microtubule: not sure sorry?

    Chloroplasts: Again the lunchroom maybe?
