Question:

Please help! I seriously need to put this movie maker video onto a DVD-R?

I tried saving the movie file to get it in the wmv format but it says Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. My video is around 56 MB but I tried to save it on my flash drive which holds 250 MB but it won't let me.

Is there any other way I can put it in the DVD-R without paying anything, too?

  1. if i got u rite, u don't have a DvD writer in the pc ur' working with. so, u wud like to save ur wmm movie file into a usb flash drive... bring this flash to a pc w/ a DvD writer and burn.

by design, video editing apps, e.g., wmm, don't save directly to an external drive like ur flash, unless before starting on the project, u have particularly revised the default setting on temporary storage.

don't get into further complications... just save first to the internal pc hard disk and copy to flash drive from there as what Anonymous (above) suggested...

    ...and happily burn ur DvD

  2. Save it to your hard drive, then copy it to the flash drive.

  3. You can download specific other movie programs that can transform your movie into different formats.  I would recommend IMtoo mpeg encoder 3.  If you want the information so you don't have to purchase it simply e-mail me and choose me as best!

  4. Assuming you want a playable DVD, as opposed to a data DVD, you can use DVD Flick.  Save the edited video in the same format that you captured it, to get the best quality.

  5. You can get DVD writeable cd's that would work if you have a cd write-able drive.  You would then be able to record it to that drive. It could also be the format you are using it is not recognizing. You may need to change your file type and format type. I know I have to do that sometimes on my computer in order for it to recognize the file to save it. Are you saving this to your flash drive as the correct media file type? It may be thinking it's text format instead. That would be why it's not saving it even though you have the space on your flash drive. I would have to know what kind of system you have and the exact file type to help you format your media to save to your flash drive. Other than that, I hope I helped on some pointers to get you there.
