Please help! I stupidly downloaded Antivirus 2009 (Microsoft)?

Question

without thinking and now I can't get it off. I googled it and I read that it was a bad virus, spyware...*hits forehead* I am a dufus. I was tired, when I did it. Sighhh. Actually, I have not purchased it, nor given bank info. I just can't delete it and it keeps popping up for me to register by buying. Please help me, I want this gone! Thank you ever so much!

I would use the stand-alone exe &quot;dr cureit&quot; if I where you.

In the future, you should scan every program before you install them.

I don&#039;t know what kind of operating system you have, but this method should work if you have Windows Vista.

Do This:

Go To Start -&gt; Control Panel -&gt; Programs and Features -&gt; (Click a program name to highlight it) -&gt; At the top, press uninstall.

When I get viruses, I usually use Ad-Aware. It&#039;s free and it gets rid of almost everything! Try to google it it works great. It might help you out.

I had the Antivirus XP 2008 one myself.  I downloaded malwarebytes anti-malware from download.com and also got AVG antivirus from the same place.  Cleared me up.  Wasn&#039;t fun though, fortunately both of those progs can run in safe mode.
