Please help. I think my computer is being attacked. I don't know what to do?

Seriously, I'm about to cry. I keep getting all of these "System Alerts" and on my taskbar, it says VIRUS ALERT! in all caps. I can't go into my control panel or go to "programs" in the "start" menu, because the "programs" button is gone. I'm so scared. I don't know what to do. I'm running AVG and Spy Sweeper right now. I might do Norton as well. What will happen to my computer? I can't lose all my data! My background on my computer is also gone, it's just white. Should I run my computer in "safe mode"? Please I really need all the help I can get. I can't believe this is happening. And I did not want to deal with this at 1:30 in the morning!

Go into safe mode and turn off sys restore, then perform AVG scan.

i would recomend starting the computer in safe mode then going to the add or remove programs and look for fake virus checkers or programs that look fishy if nothing run a full scan with AVG

i think you have a trojan. i had one once and what you do is download smithfruadfix (its free but it actualy works) and u go to safemode. do what it tells you to do and restart then its all better

All the answers that you received we great.I normally shut down, wait awhile then boot back up then go to Norton and run all scans. Good Luck !!

Turn off System Restore..

Re-boot and go into safe mode and scan...

Move to virus chest and delete there...

Re-boot into normal mode and turn System Restore on...
