I was on Depo for 1.5 years, then on the implanon for a few months and i got it taken out because i got polycyctic ovaries.. But they reckon it was caused by the depo and it's not the syndrome. When i got the implanon taken out I was told to wait for my period then start on the sugar... but when i read the Yasmin booklet it said I can start on the Yasmin straight after the imlanon was taken out... It's been 3 weeks now and no period... what do i do??? Wait or start on Yasmin!? I'm confused!!!

  1. follow doctor orders, they are the safest...you dont want too many hormones in your body.  Good luck!  I loved the depo for 9 years.  My roommate was on it, got off it and started taking pills-her period is all messed up.  I havent taken anything and i still havent gotten mine.  I would wait-i think it will make your periods more regular in the long run if you let your body do its thing.

  2. i had the same problem your having a few years ago... when i stopped using the depo shot i didnt get a period for 6 months, so i asked my dr what i could do, he said to start taking a pill, the hormones in them will "kick start" my period again.... My sister also has polycystic ovarian problems and does not get a period unless she takes the pill.
