Ok we do not have any aggrement, I move in March 1st and then after two weeks she ask me if I have money for the rent. To make things easy I pay her. But then I was thinking I should pay her April 1st because that would be my one month staying in the house. So I felt that I am giving her one month advance. But I don't think she know that. And then recently she told me that she needed to raise my rent because the her mortgage went higher. She never give me 60 days notice which that is the law. So next month I have to pay her along with the reaise. Those two things are really bother me, why should I pay rent if I haven't been in the place for a month and didn't give me a 60 day notice. And beside she/we did not have any agreement. Do you think I need to ask her to make an agreement. And should I tell her about the law that she should give me 60 days notice?. Please help me

And I greatly appreciate you time and effort to this matter.

thanks

Daisy

  1. Rent is ALWAYS paid in advance.

As far as the 60 day notice...you need to print the law out for her and explain that you will require such notice.
