Please help. Labret/ Lip piercing question!! (10 pts)?

Alright Ive already asked this twice and still cant get an answer that actually answers my question.

I have a labret piercing

Its almost healed, and healed well

Ive changed it once to a shorter stud with the same gauge (14)

I understand about infection and know how to take care of it

So my question is ...

I have a stud that is a 16 gauge and I want to change the stud I have in for this one. Im concerned about migration though because the hole is going to be bigger than the piercing and Im worried that because its smaller the hole might heal around it or shrink and do it in a way that makes the hole "move". Has anyone had an experience like this or know anyone that has? Could you tell me if you had any problems or bad experiences or if Im just over thinking this? If I do change it and there is a rick for migration what can I do to minimize it? I just dont want the most noticable piercing I have to be off center, or lopsided or something.

If you can't find a good answer here then I think you should call the place that did your piercing and ask them.  I wouldn't take just anyone's answer because you don't know if they are telling you the truth.
