  1. You can buy vines of ivy and maybe some flowers from wal-mart or a craft store. Take the vines and weave them in and out and around the bed. Put flowers in the ivy around the corners or where ever you want.

  2. The monster squares should come off with a product called "goop off."  If you want them off before you can get some.  put cooking oil on them.  It will loosen the goop and you can peel them off and the sticky stuff will also come off.

I can think of a lot of things to girlie it up.  Look around and see what you have.  If you have ribbon, run it up the frame like a candy cane.  Have a lot of beads.  String them and hang then from the ceiling of the first level.  or wind them up the frame.  Think of it like a blank canvas and customize it to you!!!  What's cook is it being just a base so to speak is you can do one thing to change it out on week and another the next.  It looks like fun to me.  Have a good time!

  3. She can spend $700 on a bed but can't fork out $25 for some white spraypaint? Ok....

Drape some silky fabrics all over it to create a canopy look.  But that will cost more than spraypaint....

  4. M S and BERR gave great answers. I would like to add some after reading your other questions.

Your heading into middle school. This is a huge change. And you will change this year. It was the biggest year for me. Bigger then when i went to High School in ways.

That bed is perfect. You can change things just with the bedding and putting your own stuff around the desk.

As the year goes on you will change it more.

your friend will give you great ideas.

    Because they know you well.

You know for free you can make the bed your own.

Do you have wild flowers growing outside any where?

That help bunches. It smells great and adds to the girly idea.

Even ask your mom if she has things in the garage or storage that would look good. And asking her what she did to her room at your age.

If she is like me or my mom she will get great stuff out or go buy you things for it. Like she had..sort of.

It is what moms do. It is strange get her thinking about her childhood and look out! You may open a flood gate of ideas.

But hun, you just wait when school starts you will see so many things that other girls love and boom you will change your mind some on what you want on your bed or even in your bedroom. your mom bought you a great bed that is sleak and modern.

Just do not i repeat do not put any stickers on it. We had one and it messes it all up. takes paint right off as they age.

  5. Just paint it!

  6. Hang pictures over the squares. (Posters work too).

  7. Just get girly bedding, maybe drape some extra fabric down the sides, covering up those squares.  Or go ultra modern.

It doesn't look so much "boy" as "modern."  Put some bright colors like pink, aqua , purple or lime, and it won't look "boy" at all.  And pillows, don't forget the pillows!  Put feminine color desk accessories on the desk.  And a plant in a pretty pot.  Add one of those pod chairs to the room, one that is in a color to complement the bedding.  Right now a lot of the sotres are getting their dorm room stuff, so it's a good time to shop for cool stuff for your room.  Target Walmart, etc.

You don't have to spend a lot of money to get a good look.

Your mom got you a good sturdy bed, with a great design.  You can add less expensive color ful things to make it yours.

And the good thing about less expensive stuff, is that when you get tired of it, you can change it out without breaking the bank!

    Good Luck!
