Question:

Please help. My download speeds are fluctuating like mad at the moment...?

Well it started a few days ago when I was downloading a torrent (For LEGAL files). I've tried other torrent files and I recently installed p2p on this PC and it says I've got firewalls blocking it, and I still can't seem to get ANY speeds with it, despite disabling the firewalls.

This is a new PC and it has Vista on it, plenty of RAM etc, so I can't see what the problem is.

I have all appropriate ports open and I am currently connection via Ethernet cable.

I'd like to possibly get my p2p working again (Frostwire), even though I've tried every fix I can find.

I definitely want to know why my torrenting isn't working properly, since it's going from like 400 kB/s one minute to 0 kB/s, EVEN WITH my firewalls disabled and ports opened.

Any help would be really appreciated, as this is quite important.

Thanks in advance.

  1. With your firewall disabled, you may have viruses in your system.

Please update your anti-virus and do a scan.
