Question:

Please help: My guitar won't play in distortion?

It was working fine and playing in distortion, but out of no where I'm guessing one of the pickups stopped working. And now even if I play with distortion, it will still sound clean.

It is not a problem with my amp, because I hooked it up to another guitar and it was okay.

Can someone tell me whats wrong with my guitar that won't distort?

  1. I am having the same exact problem right now. I first thought that my amp was blown then went ahead and bought a new amp. Now I figure its my guitar. Does ANYONE know why I cannot play on distortion?

  2. maybe your right about the pick ups but to be sure you have to take it in a shop to get it checked out. if the pick up is messed up then i feel sorry for you.

  3. low volume setting on the guitar side will make it harder to distort
