Please help! My hamster is wet and he shivers.

I have a Black Bear Hamster which i got 3 days ago but hes wet on his back. What should i do?

It seems as though he may have wet tail. you can either take him to a vet or buy some wet tail medicine at a pet store. Both PetCo and PetSmart have it in my town. Its usually between $4.99 and $7.99 which is much less expensive than the vet. I hope Mr. Hammy gets better soon!

check and feel for any knots or lumps. I had a teddy bear hamster who wound up getting a tumor on her back and it was wet all the time because she gnawed at it and scratched it and it oozed. Thankfully, it was benign and she lived quite a long time, especially for a hamster. It does suck having to see your little one with a tumor but they still remain active and loving. If this is the case, make sure you keep the cage clean and bath them often in anti bacterial hand soap. If it isn't the case, you may want the pet store you purchased it from to take a look or make an appointment with your vet. Hope this helps.

you might be feeding him to much fresh food, try a few days on dry food only ,

he most likey has wet tail...take him to da vet ASAP..befor it could get worse...hope he gets better.
