Please help!!! PLEASE!?

my neighborhood is killing Japanese beetles with traps. I DONT CARE how bad they are, i dont want them to die!!!! can someone PLEASE help me think of a plan to save them?

Let's be really practical.  People kill them because they are concerned about the damage.  Therefore you have to help them to another solution.  Below I have given you a link to Japanese Beetle control methods.

Um...they're insects. Why don't you focus your efforts on ending war or saving starving children in third world countries rather than on beetles?

BUT- if you are really serious about saving them why don't you find some way to capture them with out hurting them and then set them free somewhere that isn't near any houses?

Don't trespass on their propery or you'll really be sorry especially if you tick your neighbors off.

I am not sure what you can do to save them exactly other than ask for the bags to empty them out in a field when they're done? I wish you luck...I guess?

get A group of kids or people that feel the same way you do and go on strike not only that do it where theres more people

do you have an environmental task force in your town, or better yet, call the board of health in your town hall, they can direct you to the right people to see if your neighbors killing these bugs is regulated.

Ask him to put them into a cage and then give it to you.  Then you can go to a field or a valley and let them free.

I am pretty sure you are not serious, but if you are, have you ever seen the damage those little bugs can do....they are horrible.

Before you continue your efforts to save these insects, you may wish to consider that they are an invasive and destructive species that feeds on over 300 plant species.  They literally devour the foliage, flowers and fruit, leaving nothing but a skeleton of the original plant.  They cause approximately 450 million dollars each year to the turf and ornamental plant industries alone.  

Since, as another poster mentioned, they don't belong here, it may be better to encourage the protection of the plants rather than seeking to save the beetles.  The plants contribute to a healthy environment, the Beetles help devastate it.

I appreciate your intentions.  Some choices are very difficult to make.  Knowledge may sometimes help ease the pain.

I remember as a child we use to catch them and give them some leaves to eat in the confinement of a large jar with small holes in the lid to give them air.  Maybe that will help...have fun!
