So about 3 months ago I sprained in my ankle and it still hasnt completely healed. It hurts when I take long walks and sometimes when I try to extend it. Should I try icing it??

AND PLEASE DON´T TELL ME TO GO TO A DOCTOR BECAUSE I ALREADY KNOW THAT. Im already planning on getting my ankle checked I just havent done it because I was in vacation away from the US.

Thank you so much in advance!

  1. Well you shud try to not walk so much and ice it down as much as possible becuz if it aint all healed wats the point in tryin to walk around in agony.

  2. Yeah you should def. try putting ice on it. It would really help! Hope it gets better!

  3. This type of injury can take a long time to heal and recovery tends to depend on your life style - if you are a very active person, for example. Its good that you are having it checked out but there are a number of things you can do in the meantime.

Icing is recommended for any muscular-skeletal injury. An anti-inflammatory, such as Ibuprofen will help to counter any discomfort and with pain. A homoeopathic remedy which always works for me is Arnica Gel, which you can get from a good pharmacist - great for this type of injury, but needs to be applied for a few days, even after the pain and discomfort has gone.

Hope that helps you. Good luck

  4. Yes, you should try icing it. Why didn't you go to the doctor? There are qualified doctors outside of the US, you know...

  5. yees.

  6. try ice 15 min. then heat 15 min.  do this three times a day.  very important to take an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen.
