I have a passion for acting and singing and I want to get started with it in a few years. I am only 12 but I sing for hours and always copy people acting on TV shows. I know I can't get a huge role at first, but I can improve one by one. I know I won't start acting until I am at least 15 or 16 years old. Do they have auditions though? I bet they do I know I am still too young like when Miley Cyrus auditioned for hannah montana when she was 12, she had to wait until she was 14. Thank you guys for the help now I can live my dream. =]

find local acting theatres in your town/city. maybe even your school. then you will be noticed and be asked into commercials and stuff. then larger companies might notices you and ask you into their movies. but you need an agent. no, you need to hire an agent.

it will take time.

p.s. sometimes people make you sing to be in their movies and for most auditions, people do monologues.

By all means, get started now. Find a part to audition for that fits your age group and get experience from that that you can put on your resume later. You can't get started by being on Disney right away- you need to start low.
