I'm having really a hard time in school. I rotate classes and I don't know how to get organized. My books keep falling and I don't want to struggle with carrying my stuff. This is what I need:

Reading- notebook, workbook, textbook

Math- crayons/markers/colored pencils, protractor, ruler, pencil(s), mini-stapler

Social Studies- textbook, crayons/markers/colored pencils

Science/Writing: writing and science notebook, assignment notebook

Please help. I'm trying to be organized but I can't. Please help me.

  1. BACKPACK:)

Do you need all of the crayons/markers/colored pencils every day?

Try to minimize the amount of utensils you bring- think about it, you really only use one pen/pencil at a time! Bring one pen/pencil for the day and after you use it put it in the same spot in you pocket, backpack, pencil case, or whatever.

In terms of notebooks, etc- what i've found easiest is to use small notebooks (70ish pages) for different subjects and get new ones for each semester/trimester/quarter/whatever.  You can put the small notebooks inside your binder if they're hole-punched, which definitely saves you some space.  With assignment notebooks (IMPERATIVE to success and organization by the way), try to keep them small.  Sometimes you can just use one sheet of loose leaf paper that you carry around all day and jot down assignments, test dates, etc, and then copy them onto a master calendar when you get home.  This way, you don't have to lug around last month's scribbles every day!

    Hope this helps!

Good luck:) Organization takes work, but once you get the hang of it, it will work miracles in time management and productivity!!
