  3. Montag is a fireman in the future. A time when critical thought has become illegal and the job of a fireman is to destroy books. Montag burns a load of  books along with his fire brigade unit (451° is the burning temperature of paper). Meets a girl, a neighbour who starts him thinking with her liberated ways. He's then concerned about his wife's medical treatment after her suicide (technicians transfuse her blood not caring much for the poor woman) and begins to think something is up with society. Begins to like books. Collects a few. Meets some old fellow who teaches him about life and literature. A colleague begins to suspect him. He is informed on by his wife. He kills his colleague. There's a big chase and a robot dog is reported on the television to have killed him but, in reality, he has escaped (they just show anyone being caught for propaganda).

Montag watches as planes fly and a nuclear war begins. We assume that he is safe from the city and that the society that he fled from is destroyed.

    It's something like that...

    -edit-
