Please help. What is there to do this new years eve 2008 in Lorne, Phillip island, Sorrento? Etc... Clubs?

Me and my sister and our boyfriends are really in need of ideas for new years eve this year 2008.... It is my 21st birthday on the 30th of december, and then it's new years eve the day after.... We normally go to the city, but this year we want to find something different. So we are looking into going down to Lorne, Phillip Island, Sorrento etc...down that way for the 30th and 31st of december, ( my 21st and NYE ) Does anyone know any good house, dance electro etc clubs down there? or anything that's happening?

Please, any ideas would be sooooo fabulous!

I don't know about the others only Sorrento.

Sorrento is now CLOSED on New Years Eve at 3pm if I remember the boards right.

ALL roads in AND out are blocked off with Police and Guards.

No fireworks, parties and NO alchohol AT ALL is permitted anymore. It is immediate arrest and jail.

We had too many fights and deaths because of idiots at parties here.

The Police bashings in the roit 2 years ago was the final straw.

If you arew planning a quieter NYE then there is plenty of accomidation down here ranging from budget to not-so-budget.

We have a few clubs in the historic bars.

Low key celebrations are welcomed BUT NOT full on parties.

I am pretty sure Lorne has followed suit but not Phillip Island. At the moment.
