  1. Try taking him to the park aqnd letting him run around wlth the other toddlers. While watching him of course.do this then bring him home to eat, bathe and sleep. You can try playing a favorite dvd, book or like my youngest who is 2 like the goodnite show it starts at 7pm and is on all nite. But I turn it off once he's asleep take a 1/2 hr after book.

  2. Don't be afraid to use the television as a babysitter for him while your in the same room with him (you could use noggin or just pop in a movie you know he'll watch and keep him interested) . Make sure you have plenty of snacks and drinks he can get to as well. Good Luck on your exam.

  3. Try letting him watch cartoons if this don't work then you will need to try studying when your child is asleep.

  4. Toddlers need a lot of attention.  Sometimes if you don't give them enough they will be crying by your side.  Baby Einstein tapes are great!  This can be one way to occupy your child.  Also, many educational toys for a 14 month old can be intriguing.  As a mom of 4 I have come to realize that its a sacrifice we make as moms by putting our children first.  This does not mean you cant study and achieve great things.  You may want to seek out a support group with woman having similar circumstances.  Maybe they even have a group that cares for each others children for free!  Toddlers should sleep during the day and go to bed early at night.  This should also give you extra time to study.  They grow up so fast!  try to enjoy this time and manage your studies around that enjoyment.  It may take some of the stress out of the mix.  Good luck!!

  5. you are just going to have to study while the baby is asleep. It will be worth it in the long run. I went to college, worked and took care of my 3 girls. IT was hard but it will all pay off in the end. Now I am done and I feel so much better about myself. Good luck dear.

  6. Have you moved yet? If you are in the States now, Noggin is a great channel for small kids, no real commercials and it is geared towards education. Try getting a sitter for a couple hours, the sitter can exhaust your child while you study, then when baby naps you can study some more.

My son was very needy for a spell, I rotated his toys in and out of his toy box, so he always had "new" ones. If you can bring your studies from room to room, set up camp in your bathroom. Put a tiny amount of water with Bubble Bath in the tub and give you child a bunch of those Soak Em balls (they look like round sponges, they are 85 cents at walmart) when the balls are squeezed, massive bubbles rush out. My son adores this game even still today. It is great when it is rainy out and he can't get outdoors to play.

Take a few Vanilla Pudding snack packs and add a couple drops of food coloring to each one. Give your child a bunch of paper and some brushes and let the painting start.

Recently I had to cut out a blue "pawprint" out of construction paper and I hide it from my son, he has a blast trying to find the "Blue's Clue" and I just hide it again. If I hide it really well, I have a good 30 minutes to kill.

    Good Luck!
