  1. A good place to start is wikipedia. You can find many great sources in the reference section.

    Ozone depletion:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ozone_deple...

    Global warming:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_warm...

    Just a basic understanding of the two processes will tell you that they are not related. But really, it is an odd topic. It is like asking "how geography teachers are not related to global warming".

  2. Ozone depletion is caused by chemicals such as CFCs which break down the ozone layer in the upper atmosphere. This lets more UV light through and gives everyone skin cancer.

    Global warming is to do with pollutant gases such as CO2, Methane etc which trap heat in the atmosphere and causes gradual increases in the earth's temperature.

  3. Very odd topic indeed.

    Why not - 'how manatees are not related to quasars'?

    I guess there is a connection - they are both caused by human (polluting) activities and they both (mainly) occur in the atmosphere but the differences end there.

    They are caused by different things (e.g. CFCs vs burning fossil fuels);

    They are different (ozone is a gas, warming is energy);

    They are at different levels of societal acceptance (ozone depletion accepted as an issue, international agreement on what needs to be done and solutions implemented whereas GW is still under discussion - not much being done);

    They are in different physical stages (ozone depletion largely being managed, management of GW accelerating)...

  4. Your geography teacher is correct.

    As ozone is created by the sun, as long as we have a sun we will always have ozone production.

    If the sun dies, so do we.

    Ozone depletion does not exist now, nor has it ever.

    'Global Warming' is a natural part of earth's cycles, and we are currently living in a rather comfortable period of of one of those cycles.

    Your geography teacher does not sound stupid to me, and this must have been something which was in your studies in the first place.

    Otherwise you would not have been given the assignment.

    Suggestions:

    Stay off the computer until you have done your homework.

    Also, quit misbehaving and you won't have this kind of trouble in the future.
