  1. "A taxonomy (or typology) is a classification. To classify social phenomena is not to explain them. For example, sociologists of religion commonly use a taxonomy of religious organizations which embraces the categories of church, denomination, sect, and cult. This classifies religious groupings according to their organizational structure (for example bureaucratic or informal), adjustment to the prevailing order (world-rejecting, world-accommodating, and so forth), and principal mode of recruitment (ascribed membership by birth or achieved membership by voluntary attachment). You can replace "religious organizations" with "political parties" and get your answer. It appears you have a class assignment and the material proceeding this has been on the types and structure of political parties. My suggestion is to review the materials and research the links used to generate this answer

  2. I wasn't aware that there is such a thing as THE taxonomy of political organizations, as there would be a lot of different ways to categorize them.

You should consult your course's readings to find how it's defined for the purposes of your coursework. (That your question makes no sense as stated is why you didn't gt answers the first time.)
