  1. NJ transit from Penn Station to Trenton.

SEPTA Trenton to 30th St. Station.

SEPTA (R5) 30th St. Station to Paoli.

    AMTRAK Paoli to Parkesburg.

Check schedules. The AMTRAK may not run on weekends.

The commuter rail will take lots of time and the wait between trains, especially on a weekend may make it unrealistic.

  2. Sorry, Amtrak is your only choice if you want to get from NYC to Parkesburg direct by train.

There are no other rail service in the Parkesburg area except Amtrak--  SEPTA does not go out that far from Philadelphia.  Even if you take NJ Transit from Penn station in NYC to Philly, you will still have to transfer to Amtrak there, and it is utterly impractical because NJ Transit makes so many stops along the way.

  3. Hey Parkesburg! You could drive down to Thorndale and hop SEPTA into Philly, but then you'd have to take AMTRAK to NYC, unless you can find a NJ Transit route from Camdun to NYC...You'd have to take PATCO to get from Philly to Camden. NJ Transit goes up the old Raritan Valley Lines. Sounds like a lot of time waiting in stations and a LOT of extra fares. AMTRAK would be a LOT simpler...Enjoy some ice cream over at Bell's Delites before you go..
