Please help! do you know any websites which give good information about artists and their paintings?

Question

ive got bout 15 to write about, i just need a little help

ive tried gloogling and wikipedia, which works, but not for the less well known artists. i dont live close to librarys etc so good websites would be helpfull :)

artists and paintings such as

tamara de lempicka-andromeda

jenny saville - shift and pasasage

michelangelo- david, rodin, the thinker and the kiss

david freud- nude with leg up

david hockney-peter getting out of pool

titian, manet and etc

ive got to get info bout the art not the artists so much

explain what the painter and objects ideas were etc.

any way im sure you get my drift by now :)

id appreciate any help.

To be honest you might be better going to the library and doing research there. I got  couple of good books:



Woman Artists In 20th and 21st Century by Taschen

20TH Century Art Book

Both containg good details on the artists. It also might be worth visiting the artists official website. Hockney has one as does Jenny Saville.
