Without the diagram, I cannot see whether CH, CF are diagonals of a side or of the cube.

The diagonal of each side is:

sqrt(2 * 9^2)

= 9 sqrt(2) in.

Each diagonal of  the cube is:

= sqrt( 3 * 9^2)

= 9 sqrt(3) in.
