Please help..having pain!?

I am in my 16th week of pregnancy and over the last few days I've started having back pain that goes around to my ribs. It alternates from low back to like right below my shoulder blades and hurts so bad that it feels hard to breathe. I couldn't seem to ease the pain and was actually in tears for awhile. I have a history of back pain (bulged discs and drying of a disc or two) but this was different. I'm sure it's because of stretching and growing and such but I just wondered if anyone else had this and what you did to ease it!?! Thanks in advance!

  1. You might try seeing a chiropractor during your pregnancy.  It makes a huge difference!

  2. If you have a history of back problems, it's quite possible that your back muscles are really weak and with your expanding uterus there is just more and more pressure being put on your spine from the front.

My suggestion would be to get in to a chiropractor right away. He/she will hopefully be able to help with the back pain as well as keep your spine in good shape to handle the demands of pregnancy as you get bigger and bigger. Plus, they can maneuver your pelvis to help make childbirth a little easier too!
