I have a 50 " plasma with a broken antenna jack. I do not have a vcr and my cable box only has antenna jacks (input and output). is there another way i can get reception? Also if i use a vcr, will i still be able to enjoy all of the perks of a plasma, or just some?

  1. To much variance. Provide the MODEL numbers for what you have. A better answer will be provided but you need to include this VITAL detail.

  2. You really want to get an HD cable box then use hdmi inputs. Your cable provider will rent them to you. If you use the vcr antenna input, you can use the composite (yellow, red, and white rca connectors) to the tv for now (until you get the HD box).

That would be cable box output to vcr input with coax cable then composite output from vcr to tv. Make sure the tv/video switch on the vcr is set to tv for tv viewing (video for watching a tape). You can do the same setup with a dvd player if you like.

You won't see real hdtv and won't be seeing the best your plasma can offer without an HD cable box.
