  1. well enter it like a scratch spin then when your at the ball of the blade centered you can layback...but no sooner than that

  2. Try asking your coach to examine the true problem like a messed up spiraling edge or maybe your pulling in too quick. I think that if you get the spinner you should make sure to try easier spins and get the hang of it first before you injure yourself. Good luck and have patience!

  3. i think u should try to keep practicing your upright spin then slowly "press" your hips forward but dont try to lay too much because you can fall off backwards and that happend to me because i wanted my layback spin to look really layyed back. you could also try to do a attitude spin(like a layback without your back laying just the feet in the right position) i also just started learning it and its pretty good now. pressing your hips forward could also make your spin balanced and in the right position.. and also always get a good speed in the spin just imagine that your spinning in a one foot spin... thats what my coach says and dont be scared to make it fast because you wont fall if your doing the right thing:)

good luck with your layback spin!

hope my tip will work for you cause it worked for me:)

  4. Its so simple that your going to love it!

Go to http://www.rainbosports.com    and then type in spinners.

The best one for your problem would be the red spinner at the very end. This spinner specifies on keeping you centered.

If you aren't able to buy the spinner, get up on your bed, and get into a layback position. The bed is much shakier than the ice. It won't give you the spinning movement, but if you can stay up for a while on your bed doing a layback, then it will seem much easier on ice!

    Good Luck With Your Layback!
