Please help! i think i'm losing my mucous plug right now...?

I just went to the bathroom and when i wiped there was a clearish, thick, stringy discharge that I have never seen before. I wanted to see if there was more so I pushed alittle and when I wiped more came out. I also noticed a little brownish tinged wet mark on the paper as well, is this my mucous plug or just discharge, i haven't had it before. please help?

It's hard to say really what it is but to me when i was pregnant i lost clear discharge a bit like jelly but i would keep looking and any more just ring your doc to put your mind at rest. You never said how far pregnant you are ?

sounds like a mucus plug.

Passing the mucus plug by itself means very little - you might have the baby in two weeks or so.

1] s*x can make you pass it

2] a vaginal exam can make you pass it

Call doc/midwife if:

1] water breaks

2] regular contractions. five minutes from start to start, lasting 60 seconds or more,for onehour or more. [ They will get uncomfortable ].

3] baby not moving

Honey it sounds like that might be the case! call a family member and get to the hospital! Even if it turns out not being the plug, at least you know, and have peace of mind! i didn't think my mucus plug was coming out either until I had my baby boy on the kitchen floor minutes later. Please be better safe than sorry!
