  1. Don't do it, man. Her carrier can deny coverage if you are not a "listed driver" especially if you are a younger driver. Getting pulled over is the least of your issues. Being involved in an "at-fault" accident is the main problem for both you and your mom. If her carrier denies coverage, you are truly an "uninsured motorist." Your mom, as the vehicle owner, is financially responsible for any damages or injuries you cause. She can lose her house, saving account, and/or other assets if sued.

  2.   If you are under 18 and you get pulled over just say that non of your parents knew that you had the car; that way you only get a fine for no license. Otherwise, your mom will get a ticket too. If you have a wreck the insurance company will fix the car.

Remember only if you are 17 or younger. If you are older or have a driving permit or a license, then you need to be a listed driver on your mom's ins policy because if you have an accident then it won't cover... but you are ok if you get pulled over though...b/c you have license and the car has insurance.

  3. Its legal. Well, depending on the state. But when they pull you over they only care about YOUR licence, the CAR's Registration and to make sure the CAR is insured. Most cops dont even give a ####. it only matters if you get into an accident. then the police report will tell your mom's insurance company that you were driving and then they might not want to pay for the damages.

  4. if you live in the home with your mom you HAVE to be listed on her policy to be covered legally.  her company CAN deny any claims you may have.  if you do NOT live with her, then if she gives you permission to drive the car, you would be covered.

  5. Yes, it is illegal to do this.

If you get pulled over, at best they will impound the car or tell your mom to come pick it up.

At worst, they'll think you stole it.

    Get on the insurance, pronto!
