Please help me, i'm kinda desprate

Hey guys you help is REALLY appreciated, and obviously 10pts to best answer. I want to do something to help in Africa, I was thinking about joining the peace corps, but unfortunately you don't get to choose where you go, and I want to go to Africa. Do any of you know a different program that I can go to Africa and help?

My friends got on a plane and took food to an orphanage in Cambodia.  You can do the same thing in Africa.  Just go.  You can start helping immediately.  You don't need a program./

The Peace Corps will let you specify an area, and you can decline an offer that is not in Africa.

If you are a skilled nurse or a skilled civil engineer, your chances of being able to help are better than if you are unskilled.

To take an EXTREME example, if you were a top supermodel who made $10,000 a day, you would do better to keep stalking down those runways in chic outfits and send $5,000 a day to a reputable charity in Africa (Oxfam, for instance, but there are lots more). They could, in turn, hire dozens to hundreds of locals to dig wells, build and staff orphanages, install sewage systems, do AIDS education, etc.etc. Besides the good those wells, orphanages, sewage systems and classes would do, there would be that many less unemployed people in that province.

Money is always an issue, even with Bill Gates. He just sets his sights higher than you or I.
