I have a kitten just turned two months old

I got it from some lady off craigslist.

I know my cat has ear ites it has black oily stuff in it's ear a lot so i need to know the best way to get a treatment for that without going to a vet.

But the scariest thing is I think it has some kind of worm and i DO NOT want to get it, i mean i really don't

I want to know how i could get it, all it really shows to make me think it has worms is when it poops there is blood.

Please help me

I want to know how to fix his health issues without really going to a vet since it's so expensive

I know he needs to get his shots, he hasn't even had his kitten shots.

I'm going to do that through the humane society

so please help me out.

thanks

  1. There aren't too many "home remedies" for mites or parasites. I know you won't get any parasite from  your cat. It's a well known and proven fact. There are many shelters that offer low cost veterinarian care for people who can't afford it. Do me, you and this cat a favor and check in with your local shelters to see if they offer any such programs. Home remedies are not the answer in this situation.

  2. If you don't take this kitten to the vet immediatley you should give it to someone who will take proper care of it.  Ear mites need treatment, they are very uncomfortable and the blood in the stool is a clear sign of a problem.  Be a responsible pet owner, or don't have a pet.  Period.

  3. Firstly, why take a kitten on when you can not afford to look after it properly?  How can you not take the poor kitten to the vet?  The poor little thing is obviously suffering and needs medical attention.  If you are getting the shots done via the humane society, do they not have a vet that can treat your cat?  Try and borrow the money from somewhere.  Your kitten needs help now.

  4. There are numerous off-the-shelf remedies for ear mites and such, however, at 2 months the cat is still a kitten so there is a chance they could be too strong for him.

You cat might be dehydrated and pooping blood as it is constipated and has torn the r****m when straining to p**p.

You really should go to the vets for this. And you should have factored in the cost of vet visits before getting a pet.

I'd suggest purchasing cat insurance, this won't cover jabs but will cover the cost of any accidental damage, say if your cat breaks a leg.

  5. You must get your kitten to the vet ASAP! The worms will kill him if you let it go untreated.  Explain to the vet that you don't have much money.  Ask the vet about the ear mites, he will let you know about an over the counter product to use.  You will not get the worms...it is not transferable to people.  But this can be a very painful thing for the cat.  If you take on the responsibility of a pet, you must take care of it's medical needs too.

  6. Everything you described really needs to be looked at by a vet.  Black oily stuff is ear wax build up, which may have mites, but may not, they would have to be checked.  And the animal needs to be de-wormed, so you are going to have to talk to the humane society about all that when you take him in for his first shots.  You should have thought about all the costs before you got the pet instead of now trying to figure out ways to get out of going to a vet.

  7. There's a very relevant and sensible saying about this: if you can't afford a vet, you can't afford a pet.

Take that kitten to a vet, PRONTO. You're a neglectful bonehead if you don't. The Humane Society can help you find low-cost vets in your area, so get on it before you kill that poor little critter.

Also, Craigslist is never a good place to get a pet. I thought everyone had that clue by now!

  8. hi there,it seems you love this kitty of yours but the best way to cure it, is by taking him or her to the vet,i know u said is to expensive but you have to find a responsible way to rise the money.wish u the best of luck

  9. Ok, for the ear mites buy Dog/Cat Ear Drops, I use these they are really good and so cheap around 3 pounds.

And for the worms buy Shirley Worming Syrup, I use this on my kittens. And Its around 4-6 pounds.

  10. Maybe the humane society could also help you with these probems? If not vets will allow some people to pay in installments if they are having problems with paying the vet bills. Either way you need to get the cat treated ASAP as it may be in some discomfort.

  11. I know you dont want to go to a vet but you really should. This is a serious thing. Once you took this kitty home, you took all responsibilities with it. These things are not going to go away over time with no medication or something bought from a store, the baby needs some care from a vet and meds right away.
