I have been playin for 13 years. my recent electrics were a peavey patriot, bc rich warlock, and now i have a mako. the mako was used and the pickups are starting to wear out, so im trying to decide if i should sell my guitar tomorrow with some other things, and buy a squier guitar with a amp, or keep my guitar, and just buy a new amp, cuz i sold my last behringer 60 watt amp. how good are squier bullet guitars or affinity guitars? what do you think i should do?

  1. You've been playing for 13 years and want to get a squier?  Wtf?  Get a gibson les paul studio or epiphone les paul standard and replace the pickups later.

Ok then, my suggestion would be to check out a local musical pawn shop for a new amp and maybe a guitar.  You might find something better for the same price as a squier.

I recommend this guitar over the squier:http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/produ...

    It's 20 dollars more

  2. Hi there

For the money, Squier combo is a good buy. The sound is crisp and the action is very decent. Of cours,e if you want to add a few dollars, get the Epiphone Les Paul. That guitar is pretty amazing for the money. We have most makes at our shop and I own an original 1963 Les Paul.

But, for the money , I was amazed at the action and the sensitivity of the neck versus my old Gibson.
