Please help me, what is the cheapest way to send books from Egypt to US

The weight is 20 kg and FedEx is too expensive. I would like to send it from Cairo to NY, so what is the cheapest way and how can I send them? Please help!

how about the postal system? it maybe be slow but its usually the cheapest way

also since these  are books you could ask egypt postal

service if they might have a special rate for books to the US

(like  library or book rate) it never hurts to ask

Send it by regular mail if they will accept it and classify it under the media rate. That rate is cheaper when using the mail system. It is cheaper to send magazines and books that way and then get insurance and register mail with it.

I work for fedex and yes, we are expensive, sorry. The cheapest is most likely to be DHL, Make sure that you give it a good padding because we throw the packages fast and hard because we handle hundreds and sometimes thousands of packages and it could get bent, sorry. but just ship it through dhl and put bubble wrap around it.
