  1. Just go to my profile and click the link for btexpress.(located under my pic of the dog) They will help with almost any computer problems.

  2. you got spyware problem.Use webroot's spy sweeper

  3. I've actually been using these program for years and I don't think I've had a problem ever since.

    AntiVir (Anti-Virus):

    http://www.free-av.com/en/download/index...

    SpyBot Search and Destroy (Anti-Spyware/Mailware):

    http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.h...

    AdAware (Anti-Spyware/Mailware)::

    http://lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_fr...

    ZoneAlarm (FireWall):

    http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/c...

    All Free.

P.S. If your anti-virus or anti-spyware programs can't detect a corrupt file on your system I highly recommend you start your computer in "Safe Mode". Restart your computer and press F8 a few times before your system loads up. If done correctly you'll get a menu, select start computer in Safe Mode and then press enter (If you do not get a menu restart your computer and try again you need to press F8 before the Windows OS starts loading). Once in Safe Mode Log on to your user and run your anti-virus/spyware programs, that should fix it. Good Luck!

  4. For free Antivirus, AVG 8 Free Edition is the best. For Commercial Antivirus, nothing beats ESET NOD32 Antivirus.

  5. go to the security center in the control panel, there are info about the anti-virus

  6. Your best start is to read to this forum -

Which will walk you thru the tools listed -

One important thing is the fact that you should completely update the Operating System and ALL of the patches.  If your machine is patched for the vulnerability on the HD, then YOU cannot get infected.  It is the more proactive approach (patching your machine, keeping your software updated, using the most current firmware and drivers).  AV is ALWAYS reactive!

On a separate note, In the world of security, you get what you pay for!

Larger companies are able to be more proactive in developing signatures for the latest threats. Every day, new viruses are created or morphed from old ones that a whole new definition has to be written for.

If you pay for your AV, your getting a PAID staff to stay on top of things. Free AVs have to go about other ways and enticements to get their money to survive.

It all depends on what you do with your computer. Do you use it to surf p**n? Do you care about your information? Do you use it for sensitive information?

THE most important things you can do (besides running AV) is to ensure that the OS is fully patched, all of your software has the most current version, and that you do your everyday things with an account that does not have Admin Privileges!

With that said, the best FREE Secuirty Software programs according to Consumer Reports are -

Antivirus Alwil Avast Home Edition 4.7.

Antispyware/antiadware Install both Microsoft Windows Defender and SpyBot Search and Destroy 1.4.

Antispam SPAMfighter standard or Microsoft's Outlook or Windows Mail with Junk Mail Filter.

Browser security toolbar McAfee Site Advisor. Not rated, but free anti malware worth trying. See tip No. 4 in Best ways to stay safe online.

Software firewall ZoneAlarm 7.0 (Windows XP, 2000) and 7.1 (Vista). See tip No. 1 in Best ways to stay safe online.

Rootkit detection AVG Anti-Rootkit. Not tested, but worth trying because other free programs don't claim to protect against this insidious type of malware.

  7. you can get avast free anti-virus or kapersky that you have to bye but you might have to re-run windows or what you have if it inbedded its self into your system cuase its impossible to get rid of.

  8. try avg www.free.avg.com or avast www.avast.com

  9. yeah the above answer is the one whom i am satisfied with!!1

  10. To remove Virus and find the virus file

I strongly recommend to AVG Free Edition is one best free antivirus/spyware programs with daily updates.

    Free Online Virus Scanner

security.symantec.com  or www.symantec.com and Symantec Security Check and follow the directions. This will locate the virus. But you have remove it by using Find-Search and type the file name.

  11. What you got there is a browser hijacker which diverts you to a site to download rogue program.  Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is free to use and you can keep it.

free-viruscan.com is a browser hijacker that disguises as a legitimate Windows warning message and redirects user to a Windows Explorer cloned website. It will then prompt user to download protection software.  Aliases:  IE Antivirus

  13. If you suspect you have an infection, there are several things you must do.  Unfortunately, if you find one infection, it is highly likely you have another one. A virus, trojan or worm are all different types of infections/malware and there are some great FREE programs that can help you.

First, clean up (delete) your cookies, temp files and temporary internet files. I prefer to use Ccleaner (available at www.filehippo.com) to do this, rather than the built-in DISK CLEANUP. If you want to use Disk Cleanup, you can find it if you:

    - Double-Click on My Computer to open it up

    - RIGHT-click on your C: drive

    - Choose PROPERTIES and then click on the DISK CLEANUP button

    - When done, reboot your computer.

Delete these files daily or run Ccleaner every day right before you shut your computer down.

2 - You should also have a good anti-virus program to help protect your computer. AVG FREE is an excellent anti-virus program, which can be downloaded from  www.download.com.  You might also choose Avast or Avira, both also free programs from www.download.com.

3 -Since NONE of the anti-spyware/anti-adware programs are 100% accurate in finding and removing spyware, you need at least two programs which you will run one after the other, not at the same time.

There are three excellent free ones:

    --Spybot, Search and Destroy

    --Ad-Aware

    --Spyware Blaster

All are available FREE from www.download.com

You will need to download, install, update (and IMMUNIZE in Spybot) and run them, one at a time. Be careful with the NAME of these programs - there are "look-alikes" with very similar names, that are in fact spyware themselves! Reboot after you install each one!

After this current infection is cleared up, be sure to run both of the above programs at least once a week if you are on the internet frequently and/or like to download music or files.

NOTE: Some infections prevent your from downloading the above programs. You may have to use a clean computer to download the programs and copy them to a thumb drive or CD. Then transfer the install files to the infected computer and run.

--Occasionally you will not be able to run these programs without being in SAFE MODE.  To get there, reboot your computer and tap the F8 key, repeatedly until a menu comes up.  You want to choose SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING.

4 -You should also have a good firewall to help protect your computer. Zone Alarm makes a totally free version (watch you don't download the 30-day free trial of the paid version). You can download this from the manufacturer at www.zonelabs.com <>http://www.zonelabs.com>

    HTH : )

    Good luck!
