Okay, so I am not PLANNING on having s*x for a long time but...you never know. So I was wondering what are the other risks of s*x besides pregnancy and STD's? I don't really understand STD's. I know that they are diseases but are they fatal? And how do you get birth control without your parents consent? Is it possible? Do condoms prevent STD's 100%? Please help!

  1. you can get AIDS or HIV from s*x, which are fatal. condoms are not 100% effective from std's pregnancy or aids. they can break, some std's can be cured by meds but some are not.

herpes for one is un-curable but some what controllable with meds.

  2. Condoms prevent STDs unless they break. Use polyurethane condoms instead of latex, they're ALOT stronger. Some are fatal I think [not to mention disgusting]. Jut be safe and smart about it. Make sure you are truly ready before you do it nd it's with the right guy.

  3. Some STDS are fatel. you can just go to your doctor and ask them or if you go to planned parenthood you can get some for free and they dont tell your parents also Condoms DO NOT prevent STDS 100%

  4. No you don't need your parents.

    no condoms don't.

  5. haha, well STD are contracted by contact with the disease like your stuff touching theres.....there are lots of em too.....i am not to sure about the birth control me being a guy and all, but you don't need consent for condoms, maybe not a 100% but they are pretty good....but this article is way wiser than me

  6. oh man it's a good idea you're not having s*x now. Never ever ever ever ever have unprotected s*x. STD's can be fatal if left untreated for many years, but as long as you go to the OBGYN annually, you will be tested for any STD's.

You should use condoms, birth control does not prevent STD's, however condoms greatly reduce the risk of contracting one. You should know your partner inside-out before you have s*x

  7. Most STDs are not fatal. AIDS (I'm sure you've heard of that STD) is fatal. Herpes last FOREVER and like AIDS there is no cure. Venereal warts can cause cancer later on in life. The birth control pill provides ZERO protection against STDs. Only condoms do...and they are about 95-98% effective against pregnancy and STDs if used properly.

  8. Getting pregnant or catching an STD is the only risk i know of. Condoms are not 100% effective at preventing you from catching an STD. The are STD's you can get that you can get rid of but there are also ones that you can't get rid of that will be with you for the rest of your life. If you catch an STD you can give it to other people. People do not always know that have an STD either and the people that do know are not always honest. The only thing that is 100% effective in preventing pregnancy and STD's is to not have s*x. Not positive about the birth control. I would think you would have to have your parents concent. You could try calling a Plan Parenthood if you have one in the area and ask about the birth control question.

  9. Most STD's are not fatal and NO condoms do not prevent them 100%.You can go to a health department and get on birth control confidentially without parents consent.

  10. STD'S can be fatal, AIDS will kill you, genetal warts won't kill you but there is no cure and they are contagious, there are a number of other STD's you can get. Look in your local telephone book for planned parenthood or a teen center. you can get the pill for free there without telling your parents, and NO condoms do NOT prevent STD's nor does the pill or any other contraceptive.

  11. no you should use a condom!! you can get birth control pills without your parents knowing......~xoxo ally*
