Please help me I'm homless and I don't know what to do.?

Does anyone know what a "HA" number is and how i can get one? I'm homelss and i need one to enter a shelter in manhatten.

you've been mis informed, you actually get your HA number when you enter a shelter. If you've never been to a shelter then you don't have one.

What happens is, they take your finger prints, name ect.. and run your info to see if you have any warrents and what not, if your clear, no problem, if your not, then won't tell you a thing.

Then someone will wake you up quitely in the middle of the night and tell you that you are under arrest :)

If you really are homeless, a shelter can help, mind you it can be a rough place, but they can set you up with a job, training ect... If your tough enough to stick it out.
