  1. Get a second opinion by going to a different doctor or hospital.

  2. ok.............. so Your dad's 52 and he is saying that one of his bone in his chest is broken, and his doctors saying that it isn't broken,......?

Well if that's the case, i suggest u ask the doctor to check it really carefully, or get more than one doctor to check!!

I know this your dad so its really important to you, although your dad might be wrong! so don't blame the doctor so much until u know it.    So just check with the doctor again!! nothing is worst than not trying!!!!

goodluck and hope your dad will be ok!!!!

    love saaya!! (im a girl)

  3. Go to the ER at a DIFFERENT hospital than the first one he was seen in and get your second opinion.

  4. he may have just bruised his ribs or chest. three days is not every long to heal after an accident.

after two weeks, if he is still in pain he should return to his doctor.

  5. Go to the ER or get a second opinion. Like now.

  6. Trust the doctor dude

    It's true

if you don't go waste more money on x-rays

There's something in psychology about that

when people think something is wrong with them but in reality nothing is

I have a friend who thinks she's allergic to clams, when absolutely no sign shows when she eats them

No red spots, no allergic reactions, absolutely nothing

    she just scratches herself

My aunt thinks her spine is still hurt

    we checked with various hospitals

she had no spinal injury whatsoever

It may just be psychologically related

like your dad thinks the accident happend just hours ago and the anesthetic didn't work

  7. if your dad feels pain it up to the doctors to cross examine him or else it may lead to blood clotting and eventually lead to amputation of that part if not examined properly.if possible sue the doctor

  8. I'm 46 and I can tell you that injuries feel a lot different to me than they did when I was younger.  An accident can be very traumatic to our bodies and what he is feeling may be severe soreness from his injuries, so it doesn't necessarily mean that there is more wrong than what his doctors have told him.

However, his doctors should have done more to let your dad know there is nothing wrong or broken.  Is your dad as concerned as you are?  Maybe it's just you that needs further reassuring as to the extent of his injuries.

If you and your dad are both not comfortable with his recent diagnosis of his injuries, then he should definitely see another doctor for a second opinion.  I hope all goes well with your dad's recovery.
