  1. If you would continue your pills regularly - you are fully protected and you can have s*x. But pills protect you only from unwanted pregnancies but not from sexually transmitted infections. Read more about safer s*x and dual protection below

  2. you will be fine

  3. Usually you only need to use back up for the first pill pack.  Some providers will tell you longer to be safe.

However- the effectiveness depends on how well you take it.  If you take it at the same time every single day, and don't skip any pills then you are protected 98-99% from getting pregnant.  There's always that 1-2% chance that you could still get pregnant even if you take it right 100% of the time.

Also - make sure you use back up if you take an antibiotic (as this lessens the effectiveness of the pill - and is also a huge mistake a lot of people make who claim they didn't realize that) and if your really nervous about pregnancy - remember most people(not all) conceive between day 11 and 16 of there menses (if their periods are usually normal)  So it doesn't hurt to use some extra precaution during that time ( I know people cringe when you say it but..) like pull and pray or avoiding s*x those days when possible.

And if you miss a period - take a quick pregnancy test before starting your next pill pack - but don't stop taking them until you get a positive pregnancy test - should that occur.

    Best of luck.

  4. You are covered.  Most bc pills are effective during the first pack of pills (actually about 10 days after your first pill).  You should be fine.

  5. yes you can, but remember that nothing is 100 per cent effective except for abstinence, so any time you have s*x, you can get pregnant.

  6. You should be ok, they say after 3 months it is safe to use it as a birth control it's self without a condom, but I would say wait til 4 months just to be safe!
