  1. This could be due to both your past smoking habits and your pregnancy. I am also pregnant and often feel pressure in my chest as well. This is very normal as your uterus is expanding and squishing all of your organs together to make room for baby. So, for a little while, you may feel some pressure until your body decides how to accommodate your baby. To be sure though, ask your gynecologist about your concern at your next appointment. He or she will most likely tell you that this is very normal for a pregnant woman.

Congratulations on both your baby and the strength to quit smoking!

  2. I don't know how Canda's healthcare system works.  Does your doctor's office have an on-call physician?  If so, give them a call.  Better to take a 5-yr-old to the emergency than find his mother in distress or worse!

  3. Its very possible that its nothing, but shortness of breath is a symptom for some serious problems... ex. Heart Attack, Stroke,  and I know nothing about pregnancy, but i would go to the emergency room just to make sure it doesnt mess with the baby
