Okay. I got a job at McDonlads. My brother who I don't like at all because he has so many pysholical problems also got a job there after me. My interview was at 10:00 his was @ 10:15. I really don't like my brother he torments me all the time at home. I don't want to take it the job site to. Now they are orinatating us today. I don't want to go with him or work with him. I accepted the job. I know I should suck it up and deal but he is tormenting me today and I don't want to deal with it. Should I ask for another day to orinatate? Or should I give it up because I can't handle being around him. I know we can work different hours and such. He has bills right now and I don't because he drives and I don't. What should I do? Please help this is driving me crazy

  1. You cannot afford to bring family difference into the workplace so if you know there are going to be issues with him, go to a different location altogether so you won't have to work with him.

  2. I have a brother like the one you describe, and he didn't last long at any job.  It's unfortunate that you have to put up with him at home, but you shouldn't have to take it at work too.

You can't really tell your manager about your problems at home, but you could ask to work different shifts from your brother or see if you can transfer to another location.  Just concentrate on being the best employee, do your job well and provide great customer service.  (Smiles are free!)

If your brother truly is the pest you describe, it won't be long before he acts up at work, in front of customers and maybe even in front of management, and they will deal with him.

    Good luck!

  3. if you're old enough to work, you old enough to be responsible for yourself.  your brother has his own worries.  set some boundaries in your relationship -and don't forget to finish your education.
