Guys, its my 27th birthday next week and I really want to do something a bit different but not too kooky that it frightens my mates away!

I really enjoyed "Lucky Voice" - a bar/karaoke with private singing rooms nicely done up etc. That was a few years ago tho and I want to do something that girls and guys alike will enjoy!

Anyone thing of anywhere in central/west end/city of London that we can go?

Its got to be different, quirky, abit mad(ish) and impressive!

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Just an idea of what Ive been looking at:

Volupte, electric birdcage, and Beach Blanket Babylon. That sort of concept bar!

Thanks again

Cher

  1. Electric Birdcage is great. I love the dim sum and the atmosphere. I go there a lot. There's also a bar made of ice just off Regents Street and a retro bowling alley that does milkshakes, burgers and stuff of a great standard, near Tavistock Square.

  2. Belgo's Covent Garden is fun. Also try the groovy retro bowling alley near Tavistock Square - they do good food.

There's boat bar nights cruising the Thames but I don't know much about those.

I also once went to the London Vampire Meetup in a brilliant gothic pub in Camden but they aren't too keen on 'tourists' as they're quite serious about it all.

Try also Garlic and Shots Soho for a fun garlic-heavy menu with a Gothic scene bar downstairs - it's a good night out.
