  1. WZ

because ionic bond is formed between two elements having greatest difference in their electronegativity.

  2. Speed is correct.

WZ is the right answer. I am a bit doubtful about the 1.7 value. Back in high school we used to use the thumb-rule which said, if the difference between the electronegativity of two atoms is greater than 2 then the bond can be considered ionic.

However, there is no such thing as a pure ionic bond. Covalent or metallic bonding would exist (theoretically) in all ionic bonds.

Hope this helps you kill that homework monster :)

  3. wz

  4. WZ is ionic.

A bond is considered ionic when the difference between the electronegativity of the elements is greater than 1.7.

  5. It is WZ. It is said that ionic bonds are formed when electro negetivity difference between the two ends are greater than 1.7

It is 2.5 in the case of WZ which is the only one greater than 1.7
