i have a subject in psychology and we are conducting a research, so here's my hypothesis:

There is no significant difference between the implementation of occupational safety and health standards and employee productivity

implementation meaning, if it is strictly implemented or loosely implemented, would it affect employee productivity?

the question is, what formula would i use?

pearson? biserial? what help me! i dont know what kind of statistical treatment i will employ! thanks!

  1. - i think you have 2 parts.

1)There is no significant difference between the implementation of occupational safety and health standards

    - i can see the logic here- they seem to be very closely related terms

2)There is no significant difference between the implementation of occupational safety and health standards

    and employee productivity? -

are you saying productivity is same as implementatiuon of health safety?

I dont see the relationship... an employee coudl be totally safe and healthy and yet not-productive for some other reason- for example they are just lazy)))

  2. pearson is better.

it depends on the country. in usa union dictates how fast u work..

in india / china there r no unions and your productivity is high as u want the $$. here there r no occupational safety / health standards.

some sweat shops / data processing company in usa also does this
